
Dr Mark Collins , educated at the University of Melbourne, Australia (MA, BA (Hons), Dip Ed) and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA (PhD), is an experienced teacher of English, co-author of The Wide World of English 4 (2001) and Go Grammar!1 and 2 (2004), conducts seminars and workshops in specialist areas of English, ranging from film genres to creative writing, grammar, poetry and Shakespeare, at annual English conferences in Australia and overseas.
He has taught in government and private schools, co-educational and single sex. He enjoys reading about the interplay of past and present in fiction and criticism, particularly the role of ideas, beliefs and cultural influences across the world.
Mrs Durga Kamte has had a varied career as a teacher of English and French, tourist guide, translator-interpreter and librarian. With a passion for the classics in French and English literature, her reading interests also encompass graphic novels, postcolonial literature from the Indian subcontinent, narrative poems, and Australian drama. She is passionate about promoting a love of literature to young people, and conducts regular literature appreciation circles for adolescent readers.
